I have 1940 Special Six Sport Coupe. Currently has BF Goodrich Silvertown 6.50-16 4 Ply Tires. White wall is approx 3 1/2”. Is this the correct size as original? I want to put radials on for better ride and handling. Can anyone give me manufacturer that will match orig?

I bet Coker Tire would be able to give you the right answer and supply the proper tire too. They are pretty much the leader in reproduction vintage tire styles.

BTW, I have a '40 Special 2519 that I've had since 1979. But it has modern (well to me) drivetrain now. Still work to do, but back on the road after 30+ years of sleeping in the garage.
