Ok on the site I have found many answer for some of my questions but on the ID tag there is style numberand a body number. What does the body number mean???? mine says P2565???

Are you sure it isn't a "2569" or "2569D"? Is your car a 4-door sedan?

"2567DX" would be a convertible coupe. A "2561" or "2562" would be a wood or metal station wagon, respectively.

There is no "2565" or even a model that ends with a "5" for 1949. Is it possible the number isn't clear and you are reading it wrong. Can you please check again very carefully.

Body number has to do with GM's internal billing system. Body style is what we know to mean something. Like 2568 is a 4 door sedan, a D means it has stainless trim on the sides, 2511 is a 2 door sedan, etc.
