Can someone tell me if there is a dual master cylinder that will bolt on to a 1963 grand prix, or do I have to go aftermarket and where?

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner about your question.

Your single system master cylinder may actually- physically- match up with a newer dual cylinder, but there is much more involved here than just the fit.

First, is it power or standard? If power there is the booster to consider. Obviously you are aware of the plumbing requirements. Also, do you have discs on the front (a conversion)?

If you have non-power, all drum, a conversion would be pretty simple, but you will, of course, have to address the rod travel. It might be different.

This all gets rather involved and since we are dealing with something that may (or may not) keep you from shooting through a stop sign, it becomes quite critical. That is why there are some experts who deal in only this subject.

We have a couple of good sources to contact who will also give discounts to our members on their purchases. Go to "AFFILLIATES"in the top navigation bar and click on "Member Discounts." Then go to "Pontiac Parts." There check out Power Brake Systems, Scarcebird Classic Brakes, and Disc Brake Mike. I am sure they will each be able to answer your questions and give you pointers on what is involved.

Please let us know how this all works out.
