Does anyone know if there is someone reproducing a 1960 gas tank?

Don't know if other GM parts will work, but maybe Larry can use one of his reference catalogs to see if a Chevrolet tank or any others will work.

If a 60 Chevrolet tank would work, Impala Bob's has new tanks for $279.99. Hopefully that will be the case.

I have not heard of anyone reproducing anything like a fuel tank for a '60 Pontiac. As a matter of fact, all the non-GTOs and Firebirds are finding repro parts scarce.

A quick look at the Hollander Interchange Manual shows the '60 Pontiac tank unique to itself, so no chance of another year or other GM car being a donor.

Try dropping a note in the Parts Wanted forum also.

You might want to check our Affiliate Commercial Suppliers who are giving nice discounts to our members. Try Kelsey Pontiac Parts and California Pontiac Restorations. Be sure to tell them you are a PontiacRegistry.com member.

As Larry said, a 60 Pontiac tank is 60 Pontiac only. I bought an NOS one from Joe Curtis in SC in 2005. They do show up on ebay from time to time. There are companies who can recondition them. I still have the original one from my car.
