60 catalina Generator part number

Can anyone tell if the Delco Remy generator part number is 1102096 or 1102097 for a 60 Catalina without A/C? The one that came off it was a 1102096 but not sure this is original. Some sources say 1102097 was for the Pontiac V8.

In checking the Hollander interchange manual, I find both your numbers shown as correct for '59-'62 Pontiac without A/C.

They do such a bad job with their listings though, that it appears your numbers may be replacement units. It appears that the original numbers were: 1102051, ....53, and ....61. But it is only reasonable to believe that a car that age would have had a replacement or two. If yours is a Delco, the two numbers would be proper as (what appears to be a) replacement item. It looks like it is a 30-amp unit while the A/C units were 40-45 amp.

Thanks Larry. I am having the same problem. Multiple different part numbers. As far as I can tell the 1102051 was a Buick generator but was probably identical to the Pontiac, Olds etc.

In case anyone ever needs to know, the correct part number for the 1960 Pontiac generator (35 amp) is 1102200
