1959 catalina vista hard top

my car is sitting in a glass shop with 2 brand new windshields sitting next to it and no windshield where it belongs. those 2 new windsheilds measures 65" accross. the original broken windshield measure a hair less than 64"accross. everyone I have spoke to says all they sell is the ones that measure the 65" accross for my car!! ( they will not fit!!) I saw it with my own eyes, the new windsheild hangs over and extra inch and there is noway it will (pop) into place like the guy at city auto glass says.

has anyone ran into this before?? HELP!! please

I'd check with a different glass shop to see if other glass suppliers show the correct size for your car.

Because your car is a "Vista" do you think it is possible that those tops are narrower than perhaps a Catalina, Star Chief, etc?

Your shop should have access to the dimensions between the different models (even if they have to check with the suppliers).
