If anybody will provide technical guidance, I am attempting to disassemble the front control arms to replace the bushings and gaskets. Are there any written guidelines on performing this task.

On a similar note, are there technical articles that will assist me in rebuilding specific sections such as the rear axel.

Mark

In our On-Line Reference Library we do not yet have a 1967 manual scanned and posted; however, the 1966 one should contain helpful info for your front control arms.

As another thought, some of the performance parts manufacturers for things like suspension items may have "How-To" instructions on their site. Cuheck those companies that sel lthe high performance bushings and kits.

As for the rear end, that is a horse of a different color. Because GM inststed on using carrier assemblies that did not contain the pinion fxed into it (like Fords drop out front complete carrier assemblies), rebuilding a rear end is pretty much to be left to a professional shop because they will have to sat up the contact between the ring and pinion, which if very complicated to the novice.

That doesn't mean that you can't do things like wheel bearings, etc. But anything inside the punkin' housing should be done by the guys who do the final set up and are liable for guaranteeing the work.

You can see these procedures in any of the manuals we have posted; it is all pretty much the same.
