.. last weekend was a bit of a Pontiac Convention in a small country town about 300 miles south west of Sydney. Around 100-120 Pontiacs turned up from 1928 to a 2002 Trans Am.. the latter.... freshly converted to right Hand Drive at a cost of around US$24,000.. just for the conversion..
For the international interest sake.. heres a link.. just click on one of the pictures then you can go from picture to picture.
Keep in mind. . Pontiac sedans were made by Holden here till about 1968.. and the actual Holden Body Company (later to become General Motors - Holden).. produced most all of GM's Body shells up to 1948, when Holden started to produce its own cars (subject to Detroits approval).. Holden from 1948 continued to assemble CKD Pontiac & Chev sedana till 68, by which time the local designed cars had taken hold.
Holden now produces cars still for China, the Middle East, the US & the UK and Brazil (LHD methane powered G6 type sedans), not in huge numbers by US proportions but enough to be profitable.

..anyway.. heres something to look over.. http://www.users.on.net/~vanbaast/Pontiac%20Nationals%2007/

Let's see.... Holden produced US-type cars for Australia.... now it produces Australian-type cars for the US. Makes as much sense as anything else does these days!
Sure speaks well for Holden.... how about for GM....??
