1930 standard coupe production figures.

does anyone know , out of the 62888 1930 models , how many were standard coupes?

Unfortunately, there were no production records back then, other than total number. That is not to say that "somewhere" there isn't a breakdown, but no books I've ever seen shed any light there, and you would think that information would have surfaced by now.
It wasn't until 1935 that there appear any figures by model, but still not by body style. If we fast forward to 1955, this is the first we find production numbers by model and body style.
However, if one is ready to accept the assumption that car buyers pretty much bought for the same reason-- no matter which brand-- then we can do some number crunching using Ford's production numbers from 1930 (if Old Henry did anything, he sure kept good records!).

So, here we go using Ford's production percentages:
- phaeton: 2%= Pontiac: 1,258
- roadster: 15%= Pontiac: 9,433
- 2-door sedan: 35%= Pontiac: 22,010
- 4-door sedan: 16%= Pontiac: 10,062
- standard coupe: 25%= Pontiac: 15,722
- sport coupe: 7%= Pontiac: 4,402

Now before you run to the calculator to catch me in a lie, this only adds up to 62,887 cars. I'm sure the "missing" car went to the Pontiac General Manager's wife!
This is by no means a fool proof way to figure, but you have to admit, it is probably pretty darn close. With Ford and Pontiac in about the same price field for 1930, I'll bet the buying habits of both manufacturers' customers were about the same.

So there you have it, the official unofficial production figure for your 1930 Pontiac Standard Coupe: 15,722.
