Today, the SoCal chapter of the POCI (of which I am a member) held their 9th annual Show n' Shine at David J. Phillips Pontiac in Laguna Hills. This just happens to be the same dealership that my car was sold at 20 years ago so I decided this was the perfect time to have a homecoming.
When I got there, I pulled into the lot and found that the entire lot was being used for the show. I parked my car and took a few quick shots. When I got home, I was surprised to see in my pictures that I wasn't the only one taking pictures of my car! (see red arrow below).
Anyway, the day was beautiful and there were many awesome Pontiacs to be seen including a nice black 88 GT. It was pretty cool to be in the same place that my car was sold new. I hope to bring her back next year and actually participate in the show. I didn't think she was good enough to participate, but after I viewed the other cars there, clearly she IS.
I hope to have her real homecoming next year at the Fiero 25th anniversary celebration in Pontiac.
Here we are on the way to the show.

By all means the Fiero is a classic Pontiac. The short length of production along with their unique engineering and styling cues add to their classic history.
You are well aware my feelings towards the Fiero. They are one of the best looking Pontiacs produced. It is not too often you run across one of these Pontiacs on the roads today. I enjoy cruising by a Fiero as much as other Pontiacs. They are kind of a rarity in Missouri. Don't see many.
Did you like Larry's feature Pontiac this February? Larry is a great guy and gives all makes credit. That is a great looking car! I owned two 1985 Fieros. One was red while the other was white. The white car sported 13" sport wheels with center caps and beauty rings. It was a sunroof car with luggage rack to. Both were 2.5 cars.
Wonder how many members own Fieros? You should run a poll on that. I am sure several members are not aware of this segment of the site, but in time we could get a good idea.
Lets see more of these mid-engine two-seaters.
Thanks,
Jeff |

Nice! V8 Archie does some great work.
I think I could live with an LT1 in my car. |
