Friends,
We just got a sad note about long time Pontiac friend, author, and historian, John Gunnell. His daughter (who will only be 40 this coming January) had a heart attack and is in a coma. The outcome is unknown at this time.
If you have any pull with "The Big Guy", now is the time that we could use it for John's daughter and entire family.
Say a prayer for them all.
Larry

Latest report is that John's daughter is showing some very small signs of response and movement, positive news but it is a long journey still. Keep the positive energy flowing.

Friends, please think of John and his family as you go into this holiday season, and count your blessings.... twice if need be.
Suzy lost her fight Thursday afternoon.
John, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

How Sad !! Makes you thankful to be alive. Really thankful. It would be nice if we Pontiac guys and Gals could somehow get a card signed by all the members to support him as he has been such a huge influence in our lives by providing us with such great and passionate information in our hobby. I think its the least we could do for our fellow brother. What do you think guys and Gals? Larry ? Is there an E-Mail address where we could send our condolences where you could forward them to his family so that he knows that he has another family at the forum?

If you guys dont have his book you need to get it. One of the best Pontiac books ive ever owned.

Count me in on a Card, preferably a mailed Card, I think it carries more weight than an E-Card, but whatever form the Card takes, count me in.

I agree but hows that going to work ? Either one of us could go buy a card and send it to one another. How would we get all the signatures ? Thats lots of mailings but if everyone put there name and town and state on it it would probably be nice for John to see how vast an area of people were in support of him in this hard time. Let me know. Hey BenCar if you want send me your address via E-Mail and i will buy the card and send it out right away and you could find someone else to forward it to. Like Larry maybe. You have a way to get a hold of Johns family ? Like a mailing address?

I think your idea is a great show of compassion for one who has been, and still is, such an important a part of the hobby we enjoy so much. It comes down to the people when all is said and done.

I have an idea that is more workable than the card. I wish to respect John's privacy, especially during this sad, busy time. But, if anyone would like to send their thoughts and support to John, I will happily forward them to John for everyone.

Send to me at: larry.kummer@pontiacregistry.com and I will send right on.

Thanks,
Larry
