Here is what it said about posting a pic. I guess you guys use a pic host or something? Bruce can I send you a few pics of my Tempest and have you post them on here for me?
Adding an image to a post
phpBB BBCode incorporates a tag for including images in your posts. Two very important things to remember when using this tag are: many users do not appreciate lots of images being shown in posts and second, the image you display must already be available on the Internet (it cannot exist only on your computer, for example, unless you run a webserver!). There is currently no way of storing images locally with phpBB (all these issues are expected to be addressed in the next release of phpBB). To display an image, you must surround the URL pointing to the image with [img][/img] tags. For example: _________________ |

Hi Russell,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It is a matter of flipping a switch that for one reason or another got "turned off". I have sent a note to the web techs and they will get the picture posting function turned back on. My guess is that it did not get reset when lots of stuff went ka-flueey after they had first added the registry function a bit ago.
I'l post a note after it is reset.
Thanks,
Larry |

Thanks Larry and Bruce!!
I thought I was going blind. I kept looking for that "Add an attachment" line.
Before long maybe I will be a pic posting fool!!!

Hi Russ,
Sit tight for the web techs to just "flip the switch" to turn that function back on.
Thanks,
Larry |

One last pic. The guy threw in some extra parts he didnt use on his Tempest drag car so I lucked up and got a nice hood, some trim, bumpers and a trunk lid(Trunk lid bracing was trimmed out for a drag car...Maybe I can use the skin on something?) _________________ |

Bruce,
Just finished a new deck on the back of the house to surprise my wife, Jasmin, while she was down in St. Vincent, West Indies (six weeks!! GACK!).
I'll have to ask her if she minds a bunch of roughnecks with greasy hands on it.
Someday we'll have a get together, but that's in the future a bit.

Talk about Big Bad Breathin' Down Your Neck! Neat shot.
I remember when my ex-father in-law towed a '37 Packard roadster from Kentucky back to Ohio. My brother in-law rode in the back and soon realized the people behind him could not see his dad or the tow car. So being the jokster he was (is) he put his feet up on the windshield frame (top was down), jumped into the back seat and pretended he was looking for something on the floor, slid over to the passenger side and rummaged through the glove box, etc. He said the looks on the people's faces behind him were priceless.
I am in Bradenton, Florida.... one of the most beautiful places to be (well, perhaps not July and August, but the other 10 months!

Well Bruce, I sincerely hope you can coax 25MPG out of it. I drive my 195-1bbl 3-speed stick quite a bit with a decent highway/city driving mix. I can't seem to get above 18MPG. My engine runs beautifully and I'm easy on the gas pedal. Unfortunately I can't seem to do better than that number. I've read on some forums about folks getting in the mid-to-high 20s on their cars. I find that miraculous. If these cars had an overdrive then it'd be a no-brainer. The engines have so much torque they could cruise down the highway at a low rpm. As they stand with the 3.31 (or something like that) rear axle ratio and 1:1 final drive the engines spin much faster than they need to. |
