More leg room needed in '65 GTO

I'm 6-ft - 5-in tall and I need a way to get a few more inches of seat adjustment from my '65 GTO.
I don't want to drill new holes in the floor or make other non-reversable changes. Does anyone make an extension bracket? I'm thinking it would be be something that can be bolted to the floor with provisions for simply mounting the seat a little further back then stock.

Many of the Pontiac parts suppliers (Ames, Performance Years, etc) sell extensions for first generation Firebirds. Maybe they would fit the GTOs, or give you a good idea of how to fabricate a set......John

I checked with Ames, they don't offer the part. I'm thinking it might not be too difficult to fab something up myself.

I was watching one of the (many) car rebuild shows on TV the other day and they were going to turn the rails around to gain more room (obviously putting the adjuster on the wrong side) but instead welded plates to the underside, extending forward a few inches. Didn't have to drill the floor.

Other than finding some from another car that might have more travel back and still fit, looks like time to get creative.

It is telling about a Camaro, but had a good idea. Check the underside of the seat where the bracket mounts. There might be some room to spare by just moving a bit. Perhaps not with factory additional holes, but hopefully some room to drill some new ones.
