frame vin number location

does anyone know where to find the vin location stamped on a 1969 gto frame? it is not behind the body mount on left rear like the earlier goats, at least mine isn't. there is a date and part number stamped on the side of the rail at this spot but no vin.

I have checked three independent books and none mention a VIN on the frame for the '69 GTO. They only mention the VIN on the left top instrument panel (tag) and on the right front of the engine block.

The GTO Restoration Guide lists different part numbers for '68 and '69 GTOs but does not mention where they are located.

thanks, I haven't found reference in books either. I just thought they all had the vin stamped on the frame somewhere.
