I have been trying to find a water temperature switch (sending unit) for my 62 tri-power bonneville. It has 2 connectors. All the ones I have found are too big. Does anyone know a part number for the correct one. At this point it doesn't need to be NOS.

The first place to check is with our many Affiliate Suppliers (under Member Discounts) so you can save some money (California Pontiac Restoration, Kurt Kelsey, etc.).

If originality is not an issue, NAPA have "generic" parts companies who make an amazing range of these sort of items. One might even look like an original too if you get lucky.

If you want a part number, perhaps out Tri-Power Technical Advisor can help you with that. Go to the Technical Advisor section and contact Jon. Please share whatever you learn so others will have the information for any future needs.

Thanks.

If the sensors you're getting don't fit, the first thing I would check is to see if you do have a 1962 tripower intake. It should be casting number 541690.

Ames has the following listing in the full size catalog P10, page 100:

PM355 1959-69 Temperature Sending Unit w/o Rally
Gauges (Incorrect Double Terminal)(AP) 16.00/ea.
