Here is what I had to do to fit a TH400 tranny in my GP. A buddy of mine made his fit with the ol' sledge-o-matic, but when he puts his foot in it, he can here the tranny hit the tunnel. I also had to move the crossmember forward about 4", no big deal. Stock speedo cable works, I just had to make a gear selector indicator for the TH400 pattern. I also found out that the stock dipstick would not fit, but Locar has flexible dipsticks that work and look great!! Either a long or short tailstock can be used, but the driveshaft has to be cut accordingly. All in all, not a difficult conversion.

The Roto is the Slim-Jim. You mean the Dual Coupling.

Roto's were in 61-64 Catalina bodied cars. Dual Couplings were in Bonneville bodied cars from 61-64 and in all Pontiacs from 57-60. Most 56's had Dual Couplings but some 56's still had the Dual Range Hydramatic.
