Mr. Fulper,

Do you know what kind of drivetrain he is going to be running in the T-1000? Super Duty 4-cylinder?

This is off the subject from the above material you posted, but my friend is in the process of building a daily driver of a T-1000. Not your average daily driver though. He is building his ride on a tight budget he set ($2000 for the entire car) and will hopefully have it wrapped up this year. He purchased a T-1000 for $100 that was still in good running order. Very solid car too.

He is going to run a 3.8 fuel injected V-6 from a firebird along with a 5-speed manual gearbox (already picked up from a local salvage for $500.00 with everything) . He has currently replaced the front brake hardware while retaining the original spindles with custom aluminum units (Chevette/T-1000 bearings) with a 43/4 bolt pattern and is using Eldorado vented rotors. I believe he was going to use calipers from an S-10 truck. He spent $275.00 to upgrade the front brake system.

He is going to run a 10-bolt leaf spring rearend from an S-10 with 3:73 gears. The car should be a lot of fun with its light weight and 200 horsepower V-6. He has started working on the project and looks like the $2000 max investment will be very achievable.

It might seem like a crazy project to most, but oh well, to each his own.

Thanks.
