I would like to bounce an idea off of everyone.
I'm always looking to find new Pontiac things to bring to the table and since I am a graphic artist by trade, I'm thinking of building a PontiacRegistry.com "Collectable Series" of artwork featuring the cars we use for our monthly On-Line Magazine feature article.
Check the example of the feature car from this March Cover. It is 9x12 in size, hi-res. I would get them printed out in color laser at a larger size so that they can even be matted.
I have not checked the printing cost lately, but it is usually pretty reasonable. I will sell them for just a small profit to help support our club site.
I will do the same sort of artwork for our past cover feature cars as well as for each new month.
Anyone interested?

Larry,

I think it is a good idea. I would be interested in these prints. Since I am building a new 28x28 building to stuff some of my collectibles in along with two of my Trans-Ams, I will need some items (Pontiac of course) to hang up.

This months '65 feature car is awesome - this is actually an understatement. I know this type of art comes natural to you and I would not mind having the '65 hanging in my shop along with other feature cars. (A guy can pick and choose or collect them all - there has been several interesting feature cars.)

I believe it is a good idea to help support your business. I enjoy your website and feel it is very important to help in any way possible. If you are successful, then good things will follow.

Count me in Larry. Hope you receive a positive response from other members as well.

Thanks,
Jeff

Nice, but I'm partial to the GT.

Send me some good pictures of your GT and we'll do up a piece of artwork for it also.
Thanks,
Larry

Larry,

How about some custom artwork for a 1963 A/FX Tempest? Would make a nice gift for my friend Selden and my father.

The list could get pretty big. Keep up the great work Larry.

I may have found a new (second or third) career!
Actually if anyone has some good digital photos (bigger the better) and doesn't mind giving permission to sell more to our members (or anyone for that matter), I'll tackle anything.... send 'em in!

How about a combination of cars from a collection?

You send 'em.... I'll do 'em! (Sounds like Tonto talking!)

(Ever hear the joke about Tonto showing up one time in town all beat up, black eyes, a real mess? People asked him what happened, and he replied "Lone Ranger finally find out what 'Chemo-sabie' mean.")

Larry,

As time permits, will you post the artwork of past feature cars on the site? Will you be selling prints of these to other members? Maybe set up a "Pontiac Registry" online store.

How about other "Pontiac Registry" Merchandise? Shirts for members, etc. It could help with the clubs funds.

Look forward to seeing the artwork you make. It is fun being creative.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
Yes, I will be working up artwork on all the cover cars (or all those with enough good photos to do so-- they have to be higher resolution than the web pages).
I'll look into other items also. But, yes, if the members wish to buy some prints they will be available. I'll keep everyone popsted on the progress. This is Project #2,099!
Thanks,
Larry

Hi Larry,

My mother is recovering so I will start working on all my Pontiacs next week. The weather will hopefully be great by then.

I will be working on a few of my 2098 projects, so I am not far behind. New leaf springs, bushings and gears under my '74, mold a hoodscoop for T/A, fit aluminum interior in our '74 T/A racecar, build 540 Pontiac engine, paint GT-37 and so on.

Have fun.

Thank you Larry. Getting close to the weekend. Hope you have a good one. Don't make me jealous with a beautiful forecast. 30 here right now. Will be in the 20's tonight.

Mid-70s-to-low-80s, low humidity, no rain, plenty of sunshine.... sorry couldn't resist. We'll pay for that this summer for sure.
Saw the temp. drops across the north and mid-west.... where's Al Gore and his global warming when you really need him?!
Stay warm.

Larry,

Hope this segment of your site really takes off. I have told you several times how much I like the artwork you have created with member's Pontiacs. Seems like a great way to get a cool piece of artwork along with some extra benefits.

I know there are members out there that have great stories about their Pontiacs. I would really enjoy if these members could contribute to this segment of the site. It is always great to hear about how someone aquired their unique Pontiac or what they are currently doing with them.

100% original show cars, street rods, drag cars, FWD,....... they are all special in my book.

I have really enjoyed the past two series in the artwork forum. That '53 Pontiac is classy!!!!

How about a '59 Pontiac feature?

A 1963 Tempest feature?

A 1982 Trans-Am feature?

A 1940 Pontiac feature?

A 1962 Catalina feature?

A 1976 Sunbird feature?

I know members have all types and styles of these Pontiacs. Lets see more of everything!!!!
