French Connection '71 Lemans Needed

Got a request the other day from an automotive journalist, Nick Kurczewski, presently living and working in Paris who is coming to the New York City area from July 8 through the 22nd. He is working for "Octane", a classic car magazine based in the U.K. and is presently planning an article about the famous car chase scene in the French Connection movie with Gene Hackman.
Nick would like to find a 1971 Lemans similar to the one used in the movie, and revisit some of the key sites of the train/car chase. "There will be no high speed antics or burnouts! I simply want to photograph the classic Pontiac in a modern setting while using movie stills for comparison. For photos I'll be using a seperate car, with me taking photos from the trunk and/or window." "Would you happen to know anyone in the NYC area who a) owns a car like this, and b) would be willing to take a day of his/her time to drive the car through Brooklyn, and on the streets where the chase took place?"
