Speedometer Gear Question

Guys, any idea what the speedometer drive gear for my 1972 Lemans w/ TH400 transmission would be or where I could get this info?

Hi Jason,

Try going to this site: http://www.tciauto.com/Products/Components/speedometer_gears.asp

They have a very good chart on this page with GM gears listed with a lot of specifications. They also have an 800 number which I would suggest calling. Most of these sort of places are very helpful because they know the subject is confusing.

If you are daring, there is a computation formula for determing gear needed but it's about a clear as trying to figure out how many pancakes it takes to cover a dog house roof (at least to me, but I slept a lot during math!).

It appears that they have the parts also.
