early 67 gto engine date code letters

I have a 67 gto built the 2nd week in january, I recently bought a 400 engine built with the letter L in 66. heads are K. the L is the beginning of the month and the K is the end of the month according to the numbers.someone then told me that this is to early for my car. does anyone Know whether these dates are ok for my build date of my car? I thought this would be november and december, which preceeded my car by 6 to 7 weeks.
