61-62 PONTIAC WAS LIGHTER COULD HAVE BEEN RATED MORE
HP. ABOUT 2650 LB. I BELIEVE. I HAD 62 BLACK CONVERT IT WAS FAST
FRIEND HAD BIG DODGE WITH 318 I COULD BLOW HIS DOORS OFF.
IT HAD SOLID SHAFT & HOUSING FRONT TO BACK. NO UNIVERSALS.
REMINES ME OF NEW VETS. SMALL VALVES IN ENGINE THOUGH. THINK
WHAT IT WOULD DO WITH A REV. KIT. SMQLL PISTON HIGH RPM
WOW. TR8 HAD IT!!!!!!!!!!

I had a 1962 buick skylark with the 215 motor in 1981, only 22000 miles on it, overheated and found that heads did not have cooling holes machined to match the block causing the problem,Great little HIPO motor !!
also the motor was sold to Rover and was used in the 1980-81, TR-8. 3.5 liter/215 CID
