I purchased a 55 Starchief as a parts car for the transmission. It is the 4speed hydramtic. After the purchase I did not end up needing it. (That is a story I will save for another time). I wanted to put the transmission up for sale and was wondering if anyone could share any info on any other GM cars this exact transmission will work in. Thank you in advance for anyones time. I also have the driveshaft.

This from a 1955 MOTORS AUTO REPAIR MANUAL:

Supplied by the Detroit Transmission Division of General Motors Corporation to three of its car manufacturing divisions (Cadillac, Oldsmobile and Pontiac) the Hydra-Matic transmission is also furnished to Hudson, Kaiser-Frazer, Lincoln, Nash and Willys.

That trans will only work in 1955 Pontacs and 1956 Pontiacs not equipped with the Strato-Flight trans.
