Spark Plugs

I found some 45s spark plugs on ebay and tried them as a last resort to solve an idle and hesitation at tip in I have had for 14 years. They did the trick! My car (66 Catalina 389 2bbl high compression) does have the original breaker point ignition. I think the resistor plugs are designed to work with the electronic ignition and are a "sorta fits" option for those of us who stick with the points.

Thanks for the heads-up. A lot of people wonder if the newer plugs really are the same or not. Of course the parts stores say they are. Your experience proves contrary.

I have found that if you can't get good life out of your plugs in a high compression engine, try the next hotter range. Sometimes that helps. Your hint to check eBay is a good idea.
