I have come across a 67 title with a strange VIN.
242677PLOT535
Any idea what it means?

Wow, that's strange.

A '67 GTO convertible, built in Pontiac, MI... "LOT535"

What the heck could that mean other than some special production item? If it was a taxi cab or police car, I might think it made some sense, but a GTO?

Do you have the car or just the title? Try dropping a note to our GTO Tech Advisor, Richard Erman, at ermco.csa@verizon.net and see if he has ever heard of such an animal.

Let us know what you learn as you investigate this oddity.
