It's time for another offer from Shine Box. By now you all know how it works, we send you products specific to the automotive industry, you evaluate it and share your opinions on the Shine Box forum with us, other members and the brand. Well this offer is a little different but we're hoping you'll be willing to help out and do something for a good cause...and get a chance to get some new Snap-On tools.

Over the last year we've gotten to know some good people associated with Northeastern University. In a recent conversation with Marketing Professor Dr Rosanna Garcia she mentioned that they are working with the National Science Foundation (NSF) and a consortium of universities to commission a study on greenhouse gas emissions. The study addresses questions such as which materials help make more fuel-efficient vehicles, how can those materials be recycled and how will consumers respond to higher-priced vehicles that address this issue? To provide the enthusiast consumer perspective, they've asked for our (really YOUR) help by participating in this survey regarding vehicle purchase behavior.

Since it's for a good cause, we figured you guys would want to help out. But we also thought to get the most participation we should add a door prize that you can tell your members about. So we reached out to the folks at Snap-On and they agreed to offer (5) sets of their 12-piece Ratcheting Wrench set worth $220 each (side note - the sets arrived at our office Friday and if you like tools, you'll really like these). Hopefully we'll be able to have the survey wrapped up and be ready to deliver the winning sets prior to Christmas.

The survey should take about 10 minutes. At the end you'll be asked to provide your name and email so we can notify you if you are one of the tool winners. Otherwise nobody will contact you, sell your name or anything else. The results of the study will be incorporated into the general findings of a larger study which will be reported back to the NSF and other government agencies chartered with reducing US greenhouse gas emissions.
