I am having problems with a 66 tripower. The front carb does not close all the way after being used. It has full mechanical linkage from Ames. The carbs have been rebuilt and the frt & R have epoxy in the areas where the butterflies close. The rear carb works fine but the front one hangs up and the car won't idle until I blip the throttle several times. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Ames sells a HD return spring for the throttle shaft has anyone used this part?

The epoxy in the throat area sounds like a possible problem area if it is not smooth and flush. Check it carefully. But, it might be a good idea to drop a note to our tri-power Tech Advisor. Check in the listing shown under the members' area.

Look under the heading above "Members/Forums" then scroll down to "Technical Advisors". You will find the Tech Advisor listing there.
