Does anyone make a Restoration Manual for 1963 Pontiacs that lists the paint colors, etc. for restoring the engine compartment, and undercarriage?
I saw a manual for 1957 Chevy's that list all of the details for restoring a Chevy and would like to know if any Publisher makes one for a 63 Pontiac ie Grand Prix? |

There really isn't a book for full size Pontiacs that helps you with the restoration colors. As far as colors go, I can help you with that. Your engine bay should be a 65% semi gloss black - Hot Hues makes a hot rod black that is dead nuts on, and it's a 2 part urethane paint. I'll be using it on my latest restoration of a '64 Bonneville convertible. If you're looking for exteriior colors, some manufactures have modern day numbers for the old lacquer paints, but they're usually not very close unless it's a Corvette, Camaro, Mustang, etc color. If you need help with this also, let me know.

If you tell me the color of your vehicle (Pontiac paint code or paint name) I can supply you with the PPG paint code for that shade. |

I have Nocturne Blue but already have Dupont Touch Up paint with the correct paint code from my local Paint Store. Was more interested in other details, etc. like found in Chevy Restoration Manuals. |

If you have specific questions post them here and we'll see if we can answer them.
Unlike Chevrolets, full size Pontiacs don't have a plethora of aftermarket parts or documentation, but it's all worth it when you pull up to a cruise-in and draw a crowd away from the "belly button" cars. |
