I am the proud owner of this orig. car. I drove "Judith" to my buddy's house on Friday and we started the junking of the trunk. Wow! A lot of BS! Got the top up (no small feat!) and blasted out the trunk and engine compartment! Took up the carpet and seats and found the rusted out pans in the back! But otherwise, was virgin! Will be posting more photos soon! Love this Pontiac!

There's a mathematical formula that progects the restoration completion at approximately the time the beer expenditure reaches the original purchase price.
B(beer) x "X"(months)= OPP(Original Purchase Price)
To calculate restoration time: $3000/$11.38= 263.62 Months of restoration
Now, as all good car restorers know, to speed up the time it takes to complete the restoration, is a simple process... drink MORE beer!
It can be proven mathematically as below with a doubled beer budget:
$3000/$22.76= 131.81 Months of restoration
If your beer budget gets high enough, you can actually get your restoration time down to weeks instead of months.
Good luck with the restoration, but please don't operate any heavy equipment! |

Here are pics from the second day. Scott and I cleaned the interior out and scrubbed everything down, including the trunk. We removed the rear seats and trim. The seats we cleaned up and will reuse, the rear trim needs attention, but will also be reused. We cleaned up the wiring to the door solenoids and the hydraulic top motor, so everything is making good contact. Then we cleaned the engine and trunk with Easy Off oven cleaner and blasted it out with a power washer. Making good progress! |
