I'm in the stage of a frame off resto. of a 68 GTO Conv. that requires me to figure out what i'm doing for a suspension. I wan't to update the car's suspension and i think that tubular a-arms in front with an equally updated rear suspension would be a good idea. The only problem is that there are so many different kits and springs and bushings ect. who knows what will do what. Any help or advise would be cool. Thanx |

Check with our Suspension Technnical Advisor, Gerry Hulsey. He is an expert on suspensions.
You can find him in our Technical Advisor listing.
If you would, please keep us updated on what you do. Perhaps we can prepare a tech article for our On-Line Mgazine so it is there to share with everyone.
Thanks,
Larry |

I see that you contacted our Suspension Tech Advisor, Gerry Hulsey.... I told you he knew his stuff! He worked for years in the Delphi suspension lab in Dayton, OH. But, most importantly, he has actual hands-on experience. Gerry is a great guy who is always ready to help his fellow Pontiac hobbyists. We are looking into cloning him!
Please do all of us a gigantic favor and compile what you learn on your own and from people like Gerry into something that I can document and share with everyone. Photos of your project would be great also.
We want to archive this type of project information forever.
Thanks,
Larry |

Gerry is really fanatic about proper suspension set-ups. If you go for just a quality rebuild- which would give excellent performance and handling- we have a couple suppliers giving our members discounts; check them out.
If you decide to upgrade your GTO, Gerry's suggestions of some of the suppliers working well with their customers on designing a package is very good. Why travel a new road alone when you can get guidance for free?
Whichever way you go, I appreciate your offer to document so we can share with everyone.
Thanks,
Larry |
