Don't think of Labor Day as the end of summer, but the begining of Fall Fun! And what better way to start your Fall Fun than at the 2nd Annual "Trail of Tears Pontiac Rendezvous" at Sikeston Drag Strip in Sikeston, Missouri.
Contact organizer, Larry Cooper of Fabulous Firebirds, for any questions you might have, at 573-783-5702 or cell 573-783-9555.
Larry wants everyone to remember that there will be a brand new Pontiac G5 raffled off too.... don't miss it!

Don't miss this race guys. It is a great track. It hooks HARD!!!!! Great staff and friendly people.
This could develop in to one of the biggest Pontiac races in the midwest if we back it.

In the Sikeston, Mo area, there is a state park area called "Trail of Tears." Don't really know the significance of it, just a name.
Could also be named this because of all the Ford, Chevy, AMC and Mopar owners that get their doors blowed off on the regular Saturday bracket program. Many of them cry on the way home. HA!!!
The Pontiacs did awesome last year on the regular program. I think 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the street class was Pontiacs.
Pro and Super Pro had Pontiac winners too. Several of them. This is a top notch track with tough competition. Way better than the NHRA sanctioned Gateway International track. |

It was brought to my attention that I had a typo in the artwork attached. I know why nobody complained, because it said August 1st (not 31st), and everyone was excited about an entire month of racing!
Sorry fellas, but I fixed it. You'll have to make due with a full weekend of fun.
Thanks to "evil455" for pointing it out.

Too bad. All of us Tin Indian owners would like to be able to race for a month.
If I could get clearance from the boss, I would do it. HA!!
Hope this is a big success for Larry. I want to see this as an annual event every year. |
