The short Edmunds article ozpont linked too stated that now the Australia Holden Elizabeth Plant is exporting to every continent except Antarctica. A quick Google search shows that is not necessarily true.

As a matter of fact, the photo belows explains why the G8 pictured was up on a ramp in the back... they are getting ready to put on some snow chains.

At least the viewers dressed up in their tuxes for the showing.

Seriously.... it is a nice looking machine. I have a theory that many probably don't want to hear. Holden= test bed for G.M. U.S. performance packages. Pontiac = G. M. U.S. "performance division". Therefore Holden = Pontiac in the future. Albeit some "badge engineering".
