Anyone geared up for the drag race in Tulsa?

Just curious to how many members plan to bring out their ponchos for the POCI drags at Tulsa Raceway Park. Larry Crider, Committee Chair for the 35th Annual POCI Convention, informed me several million dollars had been invested in to the raceway and it was a state-of-the-art facility.

A long haul for one day of racing, but I am sure it would still be a lot of fun. With fuel prices on the rise, it would be an expensive adventure, but well worth it.

If you read this message Larry, I would be more than happy to cover the race if I make it out that way. I realize it is a POCI event, but oh well. It is all about the people and their Pontiacs. I know you are supportive of good people and enjoy Pontiacs as much or more than the next guy. Great people are what make things worth while. I am sure there will be several awesome Pontiacs on display. I know this internet group is extremely professional. I have met many great people on this site and I am sure there will be many more to follow. Bring out your Pontiacs!!

Hope I can get out there with my '74 and my buddies screaming '65. Might bring out two '63 Tempests too. Sounds like fun already!!

You are right about the people being the most important, and what makes this hobby the best. I encourage everyone to have fun everywhere their fellow Pontiac hobbyists are. Too bad the politics of some organizations get in the way of delivering what the people really want sometimes.
