What kind of Pontiac are you bringing or are you going only as a spectator? It is a blast either way.

What kind of parts do you mainly deal with at the swap meet? I am usually so busy racing (we bring down three cars and race diiferent classes) I do not have much time to look around. By the time I get free later in the day or evening, everyone is packing up.
Last year, I tried to locate a set of original good condition floor mats for my '74 T/A. I have also been looking for a H.O. Racing Specialities hood scoop (transcoop) for my car. Maybe I will find one this year.

Do you guys sell a wide variety of parts? Sheetmetal, interior, engine, drivetrain?
My friends Ben and Lee both own 62's. Each car needs a few items.
I have been looking for a 62 for a while. I know you guys responded to my ad, but $10,000 is out of my price range. Thank you anyway. I will spread the word on your '62. How is the paint, interior, etc.? Does it run and drive really good?
I found a '62 4-speed car that is solid but completely disassembled for $1200. It is here in Missouri too.
Thanks,
Jeff |

Anyone bringing any nostalgia racers to the event? Early 60's factory racecars or something similar?

I am purchasing the '62. It is really in great shape. It retains the original 389 that still turns and the 4-speed.
I will let you know if my friends or I need any misc. pieces.
Thank you John. I will see you at Norwalk.
Thanks,
Jeff |

John,
You had mentioned your friends ran some '62's at Norwalk. What cars do they run? I seldom forget a '62. From rough to resto, I pretty much remember them all.
There are actually several 62's I have seen at Norwalk over the years. There was a yellow tube chassis car, a mint green colored 62, a red '62 (unfortunately this car had a big block Chevy in it - a beautiful car none the less - "The Indian"?), a black 62 (featured in High Performance Pontiac shootout), a white '62 (owned by a dentist - Russo?), a blue 389 S.D. car, Heck's blue '62, a maroon '62 drag car, a black and gold '62 (nostalgia circuit), a blue '62 with tunnelram and dual fours, Rick Johnson's "No Sponsor" - AWESOME CAR!!!!, several on the car show side too.
Like I said, I love 62's. Not too many that sneek under the radar.

Do the Heck brothers have any other '62's besides the blue wheel-standing car of Vance and the white '62 of P.J?
Is the white car an original Super Duty car?

I believe Vance was running Ram Air V heads on his blue '62. These guys have owned some very historically significant Pontiacs.
There cars run pretty hard too.
