IS THE QUARTER PANEL FOR THE 67 GRAND PRIX THE SAME AS CATALINA OR BONNIVILLE?

At first glance it looks like the GP (121" wheelbase/215.6 body length) would swap with the Catalina and Executive of the same dimensions. The Bonneville is 124" wheelbase and 222.6 body length.

However, further checking in the Hollander Interchange manuals shows no such luck. They do not list any other Pontiacs or body styles as interchangable.

That being said, there might still be some similarities, but obviously the differences are too great to call them "interchangable". I remember someone a long time ago doing a quarter panel swap on a car (don't remember what kind any more) that went great.... until he went to put on his fender skirts and found no provisions on the new panel wheel opening for the skirt. That could happen with a GP having skirts as standard and Catalinas and Executives not.

If you are thinking of only replacing portions of the quarter, perhaps some special cutting and splicing would work. Let's wait and see that some of our body experts have to say.

Please keep us posted on this job so we can log it away for future reference.

The Catalina panel will work. The Bonneville is too long.

A 62 GP is just a rebadged Catalina.
