Paint cost

Can someone give me an idea of how much it cost to paint a 64 Grand Prix. Nothing custom just a nice normal paint job
Also no body work

That is a super broad question that will can bring many different answers. below is something I found with a quick google search from a paint company:

A mid-level paint job with a higher-quality paint and additional prep work like removing rust and dents can range from $1,000 to $3,500 with an average of $1,316. For a high-quality paint job drivers reported spending between $2,400 and $7,500, with an average price of about $5,000."

It is pretty accurate when you consider everything from Macco to quality shops. Your best chance of a good job is checking out every shop you possibly can and getting everything in writing. Dealing with body shops is one of the hardest things to do, and one of the easiest places to get fleeced. I would suggest going to cruise ins/shows and asking people who have good paint jobs who did it. Word of mouth is one of the best ways to find a good source.
