.. we can't all live in the US and Canada.. .. ALLOT of Pontiac's have made there way across the oceans, or south of the border over the years...

.. guys..allot of GM cars are crossing our paths and interests... so how about checking in .. make this your regular pit stop..... There are other means and other clubs..especially good ones like the GTOAA & TA clubs & POCI... but an all out effort like this is hard to duplicate..

.. for YEARS and YEARS people have been wanting to get involved closer to the Pontiac Hobby.. in various ways I for one have done I guess a measurable amount in that direction... and I'm in Australia of all places...

.. In years gone by in South East Asia & the Pacific alone..... I've come to know SO MANY GOOD AN HONEST people thru this hobby .. and some cars have surfaced that are both unusual.. and VERY ACCURATELY .. one off models.. like some of the Holden built Pontiacs of the 30's & 40's.. and the Experimental 2003 series GTO's... Australia has been the end of the exhibition line too.. with once Detroit Motor show shown cut-a-ways of GM USA cars landed here by Holden..never to return.. and decades later resurfacing like the recent discovery of the 69 Camaro cut-a-way the in now in Ricks Camaro' hands.
The US President LBJ rode a 63 Lincoln while here.. its still here.. and was privately owned and left growing grass thru the wheels thru the 70 & 80s. until recognised in 94 and restored.

Australia built Pontiac's too.. Parisienne from CKD' and also exported them to South Africa, an then there were the South African Beaumont's.. and English Right Hand Drive cars..
The English are driving Vauxhals.. made by Holden Australia.. that are Monaro's here and Pontiac GTO's in the USA.. Mind you there are now Chevy sedans in Kawaitt and China that are also Made by Holden Australia as power packed V8 RWD sedans too... that too is a another related story.

I was in Vietnam recently looking for remains of US (& Australian) cars... and there are some.. In New Zealand .. there are HEAPS.. .. Up in Papua New Guinea.. there is a guy with a Black 81 TTA.. the only one in that country... .. AND.. a gem.. out in the pacific.. in a place call Lord Howe Island.. is a 48 Pontiac Sedan.. been there for 50 odd years.. owned by the husband of internationally known author of the Thornbirds - Colleen McCulloch.
In Iran.. I'm in contact with a friendly 77 Trans Am owner.. who seem like a real nice guy who is frustrated as he can't openly support the cars he likes.. . .AND.. another like story in Romania. with a guy and his neat 91 Firebird Formula.
And there's more stories I guess..many individuals with individual stories.. and strange stories some of how a car build in the USA and note neccessarily openly supplied to a country tend to end up there...
Can I give this a push...... Open up .. no matter what club yoru in or what you own.... start the cross talk abit.. there are plenty of North American enthusiasts who are interested in what your/we are doing.... & plenty more from around the world.
