Air Cleaner for 67 GP with 428 HO motor

I need to know the correct type of air cleaner that came on the 1967 Pontiac GP with the 428 HO (376HP) motor from the factory.

I have been told it is an open-element type and I've also been told that it should be like the typical enclosed air cleaner with a single snorkel.

Which is correct?

Can anyone please help?

As far as I know, the base 400 engines came with the single snorkel air cleaner and the 428 HO engines came with a duel snorkel air cleaner.

I also know that it was very popular to substitute a GTO open element air cleaner. My 1963 Grand Prix 421 HO has the open element GTO tripower air cleaners.

It should have a chrome lid and the element should be exposed, like a Corvette.
