Pic Description: This is a pic of one of two remaining BFG "Tirebirds". The other one is competing in the Vintage TransAm series. My yellow bird was stored in a barn from 1983 until 2004 when I bought it from it's 3rd owner.

Very cool car with an interesting history. It is hard to beat the looks of the 1970 to 1973 Trans-Am. I am very partial to my '74 SD-455 car, but I still like these earlier years better.

When going through the car mechanically, did you consider installing a 455 H.O. in it again along with a stick shift?

Loved the story on your rare bird. Had a very cool article on the site.

Thanks for the compliment Jeff. I thought about it,.but decided not because the unique history of the car includes the LS6. It was modified by T&G racing in 1971 which built all the Tirebirds. I kind of wonder what would have happened if Pontiac agreed to sell Tom Senter the Super Duty. I probably would have loved the car even more but I'm sure it would have brought many more questions at Pontiac shows.
