Welcome to PontiacRegistry.com. We hope you find help here and interesting Pontiac information and entertainment. We also hope that you join our On-Line Pontiac Club as a member soon and help support all that we bring tothe Pontiac community.
Now that the sales pitch is over, let's talk brake conversion. We have an "affiliate" who you will find under "Pontiac Information" then "Member Discounts." Check the parts listings and find ScarceBirds. They offer brake conversions for most all Pontiacs. But, best of all..... if you are a PontiacRegistry.com member, you will get a nice discount too. That alone will pay for your $12.99 membership.
Please keep us posted on your progress. We would like to be able to share what you learn with others.
Good luck.
Larry

I see that's it's been about 1.5 years since your post. What did you find out?
I too am interested in replacing the front drums on my '57 Chieftain with rotors.
Did you get it done? |

I have not heard back from this fellow who originally posted as a Guest. We have since stopped the Guest posting... boy did that cause a mess with spam posting (opening to the public).
Other than ScarceBirds I do not know of early conversions. There is a fellow (Mike Pemberton) who builds conversion kits, but he indicates only up to '55 and '56. Perhaps he has some info that could help though about '57s. It's worth asking. Drop him an e-mail at: mpemberton@charter.net Be sure to tell him you are a PontiacRegistry.com member and how you got his address. _________________ PontiacRegistry.com... building the single largest source of Pontiac information, services, and entertainment in the world! |
