Has anyone flipped the front springs on a 1940 Arrow/Silverstreak to lower the front end? If so what was involved?

Are you speaking about leaf springs on your Canadian Pontiac? If so, how in the world would you flip them over?

If you have an axle that is mounted UNDER the leaf springs, that may be a different story. Are you asking about swapping position of the axle?

In that case putting the axle ABOVE the springs may work. If there is engine/oil pan/etc. room.

Back in the old days, we used to do just the opposite to raise the back end (moving the axle from above the springs, to under the springs. Guys who put straight axles in from for that Gasser look would do this in the rear.

Yes a Canadian Pontiac, so from my understanding it's has the Chevy chassis. I want to lower the front end and I've read of guys flipping the springs so I wasn't sure how they were doing it. Maybe they were putting the springs under the axle rather than over it.
