Perhaps a power steering pump bracket? See photo below.

"Plugged riser"...? Do you mean a vacuum port? If so, that is not uncommon.

For headliner, I would try Acme Auto Headliner in Los Angles, CA. You can check their web site or e-mail: sales@acmeauto.us

They make the headliners for lots of other venders. They made mine for my '40 Pontiac (Chevy body model 25) that I got through Chevys of the '40s. They have been making them forever. Mine turned out very nice.

Larry one more,,, If I do away with this old oil bath air breather , to simply be modern and convenient. Will I have to rejet the carb . I am finding while original is desirable , the old methods have certainly been improved..

The line is probably a vacuum line and any one that big is usually for a power brake booster. Nothing else needing vacuum requires that big of a source (that I ever found). Unless it had something on it that branched out to other vacuum needs, but I assume your vacuum advance and anything else(?) is already being taken care of.

As for the air filter, rejetting is not needed. At least on a "regular" car. Maybe for a high performance race car or something. As my father always said, "You can never cram too much air into an engine. It will gladly accept it." If your jetting is fine now, it should be fine with more air.

To post a picture just click the "Browse" button below the blue line "Add an Attachment". Locate the photo in your computer, click on it, then click "Add Attachment" button. Huge photos will need to be reduced. Try it first and reduce if needed. The site will resize to a point.

Good luck. Sounds like a neat project.
