Hello I recently purchased a 59 Laurentian 2 door post driver I seem to playing a game of whack-o-mole on repairs I do enjoy the work and I’m always looking for more information my two inquiries today are trunk pan search and what other models are compatible and replacing my generator with an alternator does anyone have a part number and possible mounting kit?
There will be many more question but let’s keep it down for now , I recently had to replace my drivers side sash channel that hold the window , I could not find the right part so I fabricated it ., I admit it may of been overkill but that channel will last 100 years now
Thanks all looking forward to hearing from y’all
Almost forgot engine is l6 261 with powerglide

The Canadian Pontiacs are sort of a mixed blessing. While all old parts are hard to find, the fact that may are Chevy parts can be a plus. Therre are a lot more Chevy hobby cars to make reproduction parts profitable than Pontiacs.

Here are two quick searches for what you need. The floor pan company must have something goofy going on with their web site, but I found them on Amazon too. I suggest just calling them. There may be more places with these also, so you can search around and compare prices. See below screen shot.

Same for the alternator conversion shown in the shot below.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. As for fabricating things, I too go the overkill route.
