I have a Pontiac that has GTO emblems on the side but I'm not sure if it really is one. When I put the VIN in it comes back as Pontiac, Series=Unknown, 2dr Sport Coupe, 1971, Willow Run, MI. Can anybody tell me if it really is a GTO or what it is?

The first VIN digit should be a "2" for Pontiac.

The next two digits should be "42" for GTO and Judge.

Thanks. That's where we are having the problem. The Vin is 213271W294503. I can't find anything with the "13" for series. I was told a Lemans. I guess that is how we will insure it as.

I finally found something. It could be a Ventura II. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I have been looking everywhere and came across your site. I appreciate the help.

If it is a Ventura II it would be a nova body car, if it is an a body like a GTO or a LeMans you may want to look a little closer at the vin. as you may have transposed the numbers in the vin. Instead of 213271w, you may find it really is 21237w which would make it a Lemans 2 door coupe. Please look at again & make sure , maybe even have someone else get a second look at it for you too.
