Now available from Ames Performance: Concourse correct throttle return springs for GTO/Firebird/Fullsize Pontiac.

Ames has manufactured these factory correct throttle return springs from GM originals. Unlike other reproduction springs, these are built to original specifications to eliminate binding on intake runners and carburetor linkage. These exhibit the right outside diameter, number of coils and spring tension. They are also color matched to N.O.S. springs and finished with a high quality industrial grade automotive paint to eliminate premature fading and flaking.

For yellow springs, the part number is N150GB and retails for $8.00/ea. The blue springs are part number N150KB also retailing for $8.00/ea.

Click their ad to the right to order these and other fine products from Ames Performance Engineering. Or call the number shown.

The cars starting in 71 used 2 springs on the carb return . They used the one showing in the pic & then a smaller diameter spring that would go inside the larger yellow or blue spring.

I have a 73 GTO that I bought new, well it was a demo because the car I ordered was an SD car which never came in & i had to take what was left because I was in the Navy & had to talk to the dealer when I could.
