Hello everyone.

I am new to this forum. I have a 1970 Catalina and a 1973 Grandville convertible.

Can anyone suggest where I might find the gas gauge mechanism for the 1970 Catalina?

Thank you
Paul

Are you looking for the actual gauge or the float unit in the tank?

It might be difficult to find an original part, although they certainly are out there. It will just mean a lot of hunting.

I see, however, that Summit has a bunch of float assemblies listed for many models of cars. Check this link http://www.summitracing.com/search/Department/Gauges-Accessories/Part-Type/Fuel-Tank-Sending-Units/

It would be best to call them and discuss what they have as the years and models aren't indicated.

Have you checked with Ames yet (see ad on our pages- right side); click on it. They are handling a lot of full-size Pontiac parts now.

Also check some of the many suppliers we have giving our members discounts. Look under "AFFILIATES" then "Member Discounts, and "Pontiac Parts."

Hi

Thank you very much for your help. I did try all the advertisers on this page. I will try summit tomorrow.

I really appreciate your taking the time.

Paul

nullte, if you can't find a float assy. if you call summit & ask them about the uniervisal gas gauge float assy. as they will have several makes & models because they have to make them for the special gas tanks that guys get made up for all the street rods around. Get a summit catalog & look in the street rod section & you'll find one.
