Good news for our Canadian cousins!

Thanks to member Dave Barty of Hamilton, Ontario we now have a 1958-'68 CANADIAN Pontiac Parts Manual.

It is a huge book with anything and everything you could possibly need to research your Canadian Pontiac of that vintage. If you have any questions on anything specific, just drop us a note and we will research it for you.

These Chevrolet-Pontiac hybrids have always been a source of confusion, and little documentation exists in the lower 48. Hopefully now we can help make life for U.S. Canadian Pontiac owners a bit easier.

Our thanks to Dave for his generosity sharing this great manual with us.

Hi Daniel,

The nearest I can tell, in checking my Canadian Pontiac information, is probably.

They relate the Canadian Strato Chief as being equivalent to the US Catalina, the Canadian Laurentain to the US Star Chief, and the Canadian Parisienne to the US Bonneville. There will probably be some trim hole differences though.

I checked my Pontiac books and see that the '62 Catalina had a 120 inch wheelbase, and with a Google search see that the Strato Chief also had 120 inch wheelbase.

It is sure looking to me that the parts will interchange since we know the Canadian Pontiacs used the US bodies. Still, seek as much additional info as you can. Using photos ans asking for dimensions marked on them will help.

Let us know how this works out for you.

hi Larry,

Thank you for your answer. So parts like front and rear bumper, fenders, Hood etc... would swap without problem. From Stratochief to Catalina.

Great, once again, thank you very much

Daniel
