With just the engine Suffix Code can you determine what engine you have? 1984 engine with Suffix Code ULH.

Is the "ULH" at the end of the number on the engine? Someone with a late model Chilton or Motors manual should be able to check (mine are all too old). They usually (at least used to) have good number references.

You can, however, check your engine by VIN. The 8th symbol indicates the engine size as follows:
2= 2.5-liter 151cid 92hp TBI I-4
1= 2.8-liter 173cid 107hp Chev TBI V-6
L- 2.8-liter 173cid 125hp Chev high output V-6
H- 5.0-liter 305cid 150hp 4-bbl. Chev V-8
G= 5.0-liter 305cid 190hp Chev H.O. V-8

This info is from John Gunnell's book "Standard Catalog of Firebird".
