WTB 1968 GTO

I am looking at buying a unrestored Verduro Green '68 with black vinyl top and interior from the original owner. Haven't seen it in person...yet. But looks good in photos. What would you guys think is a fair price? Keep in mind, I'm tight with a buck!

Before even thinking about a fair price, you must be able to determine if it is actually a real GTO. Pontiac Historical Services can do that for you, but it takes time and a few bucks.

The next consideration is what it "really" is in comparison to the photos. I have bought cars that have trurned out to be far less than I thought... and I was looking right at them. (Make note: Do not buy a car at night time.) I have, however, found people in far away states who went and checked out cars for me and gave me a hands-on description. (Be sure to thank, pay, or send a special thank you gift for their help.) Remember bondo doesn't show in photos, and neither does most everything else. Good close-ups are helpful, but remember you probably won't see a photo from an undesireable angle, or of a bad area.

Unless you are getting the deal of the century on a Lemans/Tempest (is it doesn't turn out to be a real GTO), in any condition, including the worst, don't take a chance. A wasted trip ($$) is far more economical than a wasted purchase ($!$!$!).
