My friend recently decided to start a new hot rod project this winter. He has been kicking around several ideas. He has decided to purchase a newer generation 6-speed Formula or Trans- Am.

He does NOT want to run the traditional corporate engine. He is wanting to install a fuel injected 455 pontiac. He is gathering parts for his new torque monster as I am typing this e-mail.

Does anyone have information on the 6-speed transmission in the LT-1 cars? Can a guy change bellhousings and bolt up a 455? Would be very helpful to my friend if he can get some expert advise on this subject. Any other info for a swap like this?

Should make a neat street car. Know it will run tremendously better with Pontiac power. I know I don't have to tell you guys this, you already knew that.

Thanks!!
